It was said to me in the shop that after they addressed the problem with the cracking liquid seams in last years F-Bomb the only area of trouble now seems to be splitting cuffs and legs so keep an eye out for problems there.

Do the new F-bombs use slick skin neoprene?. My ebomb 3/2 has none, and as such has removed one common source of splitting. Mine tended to split along the chest seam where the slick skin was glued to the normal neoprene.

The chest panel is slick skin and it did cause me a bit of worry last night when I was taking a closer look at it at home because a Salomon suit I had before split there as well. Don't see why they couldn't have used liquid glue on that seam as well. There again, time will tell as to whether it's a point of failure.

I noticed about the new rip curl suit I got at the weekend is that they have a strip of glue inside the cuffs of the legs and arms which makes them much tighter than my last suit

Yeah but it just stretched after a while, lasted longer though, but I suppose they can never make it not stretch there without comprimising comfort sad.gif

The hole under the arm of mine appeared just at the point where the arm, side-panel and chest panel are joined unsure.gif

I also find (probably just me though) that there is a big gap at the front of the neck even after tightening the velcro dry.gif

The Core I returned after 6 weks use with knackered knees had also started to split at wrists and ankles.

carty wore his 3m patagonia on saturday and it was plenty warm!!

ShoppingCart- 01-21-2008
yep no probs, water was about 10 Celcius, felt the water get in quicker but after that it wasnt cold and surfed for about 2 hours, had a 1mm exel hooded rashy uner it though, air temp was quite mild to.
It dried extremely quick much quicker than my exel, dont think the wool and the rubber take in much water at all. It traps the body heat amazingly the wool was warm to touch when I took it off.
