It's hardly gone over the €400 mark?! ohmy.gif It was only a fiver off that last season in certain shops.

mpb- 11-02-2006
I had heard it was about €420 or something!.

Is that discounting a certain shop down your way?! wink.gif rolleyes.gif biggrin.gif

Went for the West, and tried it out today. Well impressed, its very warm and flexible. Good tight cuffs too, the sleeves stay put while paddling and after a few wipeouts, niggly problem on my old suit. Will see how it holds up after a few more weeks.

Just as a matter of interest, how much did you pay and where?

I was just told that by a rep for another brand, so it may be untrue. I'm sure that the shop near me probably sells for the maximum you could possibly get away with!.

i think the pscho II is €415 in lahinch surf shop. sad.gif

TSU- 11-03-2006
How can they justify that price when all that has changed between the two models is an exterior key pocket?! rolleyes.gif Psycho II

Have you had a go on the wetsuit builder?, you can design yourself a nice retro 80's suit.

TSU- 11-03-2006
Can't say I have. Will it allow you design a wetsuit with extra knee durability? wink.gif biggrin.gif

mpb- 11-03-2006
Unfortunately not, but having green luminous arms almost makes up for it.

TSU- 11-03-2006
I'd favour the all-over 'Lagoon' colour myself.

Slick or what?

'All right, this is the plan. We get in there and get wrecked.
Then we'll eat a pork pie. Then we drop a couple of soamser
fifties each; means we'll miss out Monday but come up smilling
Tuesday morning. What's that appalling smell?'

I:
'Perfume on my boots. I had to scrub them with essence of petunia.'

Alright Folks,

My two cents about the winter suits discussion.

I bougth the hooded zipless Xcel Infiniti 543 last week in Tubes (€380). After much sweating in the shop I bought the L suit. I've tried on the L from Ripcurl and couldn't get the thing on over my bloody knees. It felt good and snug around my chect and lower back and was not too hard to get into.

Had it out a few times this weekend and found it unbelievable warm, with the hood up it's actually too hot.

With the hood down, I did feel the smallest amount of cold water down by back but that was just me being particular. Hood felt very confortable and nowhere near as restrictive as the ripcurl batwing or traditional hoods. Feels good when paddling too.

All in all pretty happy but will tell you if it starts falling apart (fingers crossed)
