We arrive on the 7th until the 16th hopefully staying around Ankor/ Hash Point, have been told that you can just rock up and easily find an place at a real reasonable price, if all else fails on the accommodation booking front, this maybe the way to go.

Get cars ph34r.gif

My advice is to avoid ankor point on weekends and holidays as it gets crazy crazy busy

And enjoy your trips ya lucky buggers

Your going out there with Gary so ya? Looks like there are a few places so chances are we'll be safe smile.gif

I've got a few pics of the apartments if you want me to send them on?

I have some thanks!.

Could you forward any surfnstay.com pics to me please lads. It'd be much appreciated - trying to see if Ultank's missus would be happy with the accomm there! Any other recommendations for Taghazoute would be appreciated.

we're going next week, leaving Saturday, can't wait but swell forecast looking less than epic...
we're renting with this crowd: www.taghazout.com, homelocations@hotmail.com, latifa is the woman i dealt with, she's very nice & helpful (00 21228200087)

we're getting an apartment for 6 for €630, more than you'd proabably pay by just arrivign there, but because there's a gang of us, i thought it best to be sorted before we go... they also do rental cars but at €40 per day for a small one (clio) and €70 for a larger saloon, they're expensive... we've provisionally booked 2 but that might change if we find something cheaper...

i tried surfnstay earlier and to be honest i didn't find them very good at all - slow to get back by email, never answered the phone, eventually sent me some fairly useless photos... i gave them a week, then moved on...
that may be just me though, a lot of people here seem to have good opinions of them... their website seems to have improved at any rate!

so a nice holiday and back in time for the rally! biggrin.gif

We are potentially going for the New Years week. It'll be our second time there.

We are booking last last minute though so might end up somewhere else depending on where the cheap deals take us, but Morocco is high up the list.

We just hired cars and sorted ourselves out last time but might consider one of the surfcamps if something is still available.

We sorted our cars out when we got there last time and I think it was approx E200+ for the week from Hertz or someone like that.

You can get it much cheaper from a fella off the street (closer to E100) but we just didn't trust the cars for the amount of miles we were going to do.

Is there any way of renting a car if your under 21? Maybe from some local company? And is camping an option?

Has anybody gone with surf maroc before?? or heard much about them? A few of us are thinking of heading over in feb for a week...

B.A.- 11-06-2007
I think there is a review of them somewhere over on irishsurfer.com

peanut- 11-06-2007
cheers bud!! will check it out...

peanut- 11-07-2007
didn't find anything on website about surf maroc... but they seem pretty 'spot on' in their website!

question though:they say they have stacks of boards for people to rent, instead of getting stung with luggage charges and the hassle of carting a longboard over..also the chances of a board getting damaged in transit.

What would ye advise or do in that situation?

sponger- 11-07-2007
aer fungus sale now on - flights from now til feb €223 inluding board and one piece of luggage - cant do better then that!

navier-stokes- 11-07-2007
speaking of air fungus...anyone know if they have a length restriction on their flights?
