I'm still in two minds, I could be sacrificing 0.5m of swell height. I think I will plan as though I'm going and make up my mind at the last minute.

How does the peak work at 2m at 13 secs?, what kind of wave size would we be likely to see?.

2.if you want surf wait till wednesday or thursday in tbay
3.if you want trophies just head into the t bay surf clubhouse an take your pick boy

if tullan is 2 foot and onshore then theres a good chnace you'll get a trophy

if the peak is 6 foot and clean then the outcome may be very different

DENNY IRISH NATIONAL SURFING CHAMPIONHIPS

COMPETITORS CHECK-IN TIME 7.30AM- FIRST HEAT IN THE WATER 8AM

The Denny Irish Nationals will be starting with the first heat going into the water at 8am on Saturday morning. All competitors must check in at 7.30am. The contest site will probably be Tullan Strand (it will be set up from 7am). There won't be surf on Sunday so we need to start early to run the whole contest on Saturday. We may run two heats at low tide, possibly one at the peak and one at Tullan or two at Tullan.

got up here this morning, peak was/is 2ft maybe 3ft sets creeping in now and again, its definitely contestable but its pretty windy, tullan is shite looking! So looks like its going to be similar tomorrow with less wind
