T-Bay Surf Club 1st Annual “Legends” Dinner Dance

T-Bay (in Tramore) has been home to a dedicated “core” of Surfers since the 60’s. Forming their surf club in 1967 to “Unite the tribe”, the Lads from T-Bay represent one of the first true pioneer groups of surfing in Ireland.

As everyone in the Irish Surfing Community knows, surfing is seeing a greater surge into mainstream society than ever. Many new surfers, young and old, are discovering the thrills of this ancient past-time. However, this has also meant increasing numbers of surfers to local breaks, with many of them having not grown up in the Surfing community.

As the Irish Surf community grows, T-Bay Surf club would like to preserve and promote the original values of stoke, respect (in, and out of the line-up), and water conduct, that Ireland’s first chargers brought to the Surf Scene! Newcomers to the surf scene could only benefit from understanding the unique surfing heritage that is our very own.

T-Bay Surf club would therefore like to honor those Trailblazing Surfers that “walked the plank” before us, and paved the way for what we all enjoy now in Surfing Irelands great waves.

With that in mind, T-Bay Surf club is announcing its 1st Annual “Legends” Dinner Dance. Bound to be a Paddy’s Night tradition for years to come, this “Gala Event of the Surf Season” is welcome to all members of our Surfing “Tribe” here in Ireland! The T-Bay “Legends” Dinner Dance will witness the first inductees into the T-bay Irish Surfing Hall of Fame, which will become in itself, and annual event as such.

Tickets to the "Legends" dinner dance are 65 Euro Per person. This is a formal event. Jacket and Tie are mandatory for the lads! Ladies; no problem…we know you will be dressed to the 9's! We are surfers, but on this night, we are goin in style! So let’s keep it a classy affair. None of this jeans and a tie cute stuff either. Dress Well. The ladies will be happier for it fellas!!!

Be in the actual hall door by half 7 because we are bolting it and the unlucky 251st person (there are only 250 tickets sold...no one else gets in)…will be left scratchin’ at the varnish with the rest of the Paddy’s Night Punters. Tickets are going fast…so call soon!!
