I'm selling my van (La Bamba). She is a 1994 Mercedes 410D. They are ultra-reliable and known to be good for mega mileage. She runs sweet as a nut, starts first time, every time and goes very smooth on the road with no knocks and bangs. I converted her myself and its perfectly set up for surfing. I have a storage area in the rear for all the wet gear so it doesn't make the living area damp. There is loads of space in there so it’s good for the bar-b-q etc. I also have an overhead space for boards. It takes 2 longboards (9'6" and a 9') or loads of shortboards.
She is registered as a camper on the log book so the road tax is cheap and is registered with the motor caravan club of Ireland so the fully comp insurance is pretty good value (380 euro). I have taken good care of her. I change the oil and filter twice a year (last time a month ago), full service in July this year where all filters and fan belt were replaced, new brakes front and rear, a brand new battery, suspension bushings etc replaced.

Met the two Aussie lads that had bought this on the Ferry to France there lately, nice lads. They were super stoked at their new travelling home and were heading to France, Spain, Portugal and eventually Morrocco for the winter season. La Bamba will be some story as it evolves!

Think I saw this van parked in Tralee a few weeks ago?
