I just bought a southpoint10'2" board Im a beginner and just wanted to know what you guys think of southpoint board and if they are any good.

Good learner board, probably better than the usual Bics, NSP's, take off and other entry level epoxy boards.
A 10'2" Southpoint will get you going alright, good choice for a first timer board

I had a great time on a 9' 6" rental Southpoint in Malibu about two years back, never ridden one of the yokes before but like carty had said I too would rate them over a BIC because they seem to be a heavier board which I like.
A fine start out board.
