I have it made so it can be detached in small 2ft wide blocks that clip together and stored inside when it rains. The final one should be about 6ft wide. I can also use a 2ft section inside for balance practice (beats the balance board).
anyone ever worked on one ?

built a few launch ramps and quarters in my day... my best advice it get the thrasher ramp plans book and read it.... for bigger projects like you are talking they have it all spelled out very well....

Ive built a few ramps, the key is to get your transitions right and give yourself plenty of flat, if you screw up the trannys the ramp will not be skateable.
ol shopping cart built a ramp in my garden back in the day in wexford and it was a great suntrap - we even put the patio furniture on it!!!, even had a few bbq's on it I think!!. It was a big ramp though.

mighty. I had to put that project on the side for a while because I have a big backlog of paintings to do. But i have a full length 2ft section that I can use in doors -fits perfect in a corridor, you can only go back and forth but it's better than nothing. The plan is to double the flat length and have a 6ft wide mini ramp. Also I solved the problem of how to "clip" all the sections together so you can put them in various combination and you can detach it and store it indoors.
My only problem is how to protect the wood against rain, in case I leave it outside for a while, would standard wood varnish be good enough ?

Just weather proof it like you would a garden shed or decking and use a cover on it.
