Just booked flights with Ryanair to Santander for a few days at the start of May.

Can't be arsed travelling with a log so was wonderin if anyone knows

1) Are board rentals easily got

2) Will I need to hire a motor or will public transport get me to any local spots

3) Anyone reccommend somewhere to stay (herself is coming so bear that in mind)

there is a heap of surfschools all around that rent out boards.
in el sardinero there is a few surf shops/schools aswell.(for example blackballsurf.ie rent out boards for a ton for a week)

somo would probably have the best selection as regards board rental.and there is a ferry that runs across the bay to there every 1/2 hour.
public transport is excellent between the city and towns but buses will only drop you to within the vicinity of the surf.

there is plenty accomodation but it depends on what you want.wether to be based in the city which is only a few mins from the surf spots or vice versa.
