i think a quad log would be a fun high performance board.....
I was just thinking the same thing before I opened the thread.....FREAKY Would it work?
heard of tons of people with them... hell if you look there are quite a few shapers making 11 footers in the quad design.... my buddy use to actually ride his board as a twin.... but then converted it to a 2 +1 so he could get more tip time.....
but yeah i think it would work

Having a MRI to check for protruding disks in the neck, think I may have had them for over a year
Also been checked for tendonitis in the shoulder...

That MACD is 8'10" but go up to 11" - some 10'6" on the way. Similar to the CC Glider, a frye inspired design. Also comes as a swallow tail quad and single fin. Quads usually come Larry Gephart wood fins.
I had an MRI last year - a tad claustrophobic....plus my wedding ring heated up! otherwise not a bad day out.

I thought I would wait until I tested it before talking about my Quad.
Its a 6'2 x 21" 1/4 x 2" 5/8 made by Chris Christenson, and has a quad futures Vector II setup.
The boards profile shows far less volume in the tail than I have on my twin fin, and a similiar amount in the nose. The rails have an incredibly hard edge at the rear, and almost an edge on the nose. I think this all helps to make the board easier to paddle into waves (a lot of release), certainly it is easier than my fish. The double bump at the rear also helps to reduce the amount of volume, making turning a bit easier.
I was lucky enough to pick up a good deal through the guys at Perfect Trim (thanks guys, compliments on the packaging), the dimensions suited, and I was strangely attracted to the resin work.
I first used it properly at Killers (see photo on the Morocco thread - same day), and the first wave I had was extremely fast, in fact I pretty much out run the wave. The 2nd wave I took a more committed line and had a nice coverup. After that it pretty much went well in everything I threw at it, especially at anchors.
The quad setup felt natural as well. I still need to practise further with the turning, but it did feel as though it had a lot of potential. I had a bit of trouble with off the lips/floaters, the wide nose makes it easy for the board to be flipped, but towards the end I started to have a bit of success by over weighting the inside rail during the turn/manouvre.
The glassing and craftsmanship on the board is unreal, you can see that Chris really knows his stuff. In fact getting in at immousane (round the back of the lighthouse/harbour) I miss timed the entry and was left on my board on dry sharp rock. This only scratched the board a little and flattened off an edge on one of the fins, I was expecting big compression dings at the very least.
All in all the board worked from a bit less than DOH to head high, although it does need a half decent wave to get going, once it is going it can get across fat sections relatively easily just by trimming alone.
Although I still have a fair bit to learn, in future this will be the only board that I take with me when I travel.
