Some nice clean little waves in the gallery there.
The kind of waves I'd like to be surfing myself.
Seems to be more noseriding going on than last year which is one good thing about the small waves.
Hopefully someone with a bit of style will win it this year!

The Semi's were excellent, the surf kinda' crapped out for the final though
I was hoping the french lad would win, he surfed so well

ingleby is a bit of a kirby...he mostly surfs shortboards.
he has a right arsenal of big powermoves.,
what about phil razjman in the quarters pulling that 360 to stall the board and then straight up to a hang 10..

and the comentators saying that they dont know how the judges will score these new school moves.
and then they only gave him an 8.00!!

Didnt see it as my office PC won't play the videos.
Any 360's Ive seen, wheter in person or on dvd or whatever, seem to look awkward and break up the flow of the wave.
Kind of novelty surfing, not surprised he didnt get 10 points for it.
Ingleby def hasnt got what you'd call a trad style but I reckon he has a great 'flow' to his surfing. All moves blending together seamlessly.
Taylor Jensen has the best 'flow' I've seen.

rajzmans was well smooth as it was not a helicopter 360 but the real quick shortboard 360 plus it proved to be functional for him as it set him up perfect for the next section. but not good enough to get him through

I totally agree. It somehow seemed well placed and fitted perfectly with the way the wave was going. He made it seem so smooth and easy. The slow motion replay also showed how technical and difficult a move this was on a longboard.
He also got barreled on that same heat.
