awwww nz would be amazing, i was really close to going to new zealand for a month and surfing my guts out and testing the artificial reef there

this reminds me : there were two windsurfer in fanore last week in what was already a busy lineup. They then proceeded in snaking between surfers and taking other peoples waves. They were obviously not in great control of their sails and just missed me on two occasions. They also gave two other guys in the water a few scares.

I'm all for peace and respect but decided I don't like windsurfers anymore than kayakers now
I doubt they'll be welcome back

A sad day for Fireball lovers - thats a headstand!

I encountered the same bizarre behaviour last january in fuerteventura. some freak on a windsurfer was weaving in and out of a group of five of us in a line up, I nearly got clocked by his boom once, he was that close. To make it worse we were all part of a surf school and not the most experienced surfers, it took repeated roars of "f**k off" in my broadest dub accent before he got the message
