Look out for the goats in trees on the road to Imousanne!

Kids chase them up them so tourists will pass and take photo's! Just throw the kids a few dirhams.......

also, the goats eat the berries that are in the tree's, shit them out, and are then collected and are a delicacy of some kind.

some type of oil is made from it. Supposadley it's good for skin? ewww

DaveJ- 02-22-2008
Argan oil and it is supposed to be good to help keep you tan for longer but makes your skin feel like creppe paper, or so I hear. It is a bit of jack-of-all-trades over there. Used in cooking as well. Sold as a real 'cure what ails ya' type of thing.

I can vouch for Argans success at curing joint pain. This missus gets joint pain, which ususally needs a very strong anti-inflammatory. Due to her pregnancy, she cant use the painkiller as its teratagenic. The day I was leaving Morocco, she had the same pain in her hand, which was so bad she was unable to fully open her hand, so I got some of said Argan oil. After 2 days of use at the point of pain, she had complete mobility of her hand and fingers and no pain! So if you do have anything similiar, theres no harm in giving it a try

Does anyone have experience of renting Dacia Logan's over there and could tell me whether they fit a 9'3 inside using the usual methods? They're a bit of a bargain basement car but more reputable makes are mad money to rent over there.

bof- 02-23-2008
The Logans are like the Renault Megan saloon. No way will you fit a 9'3 inside. Bring a softrack then u are covered for every eventuality. I would suggest getting a smaller car. Dihatsu Sirius and Hyundai Altos and Punto are popular, Plenty of room, zippy and good mpg, pertol is about 10dh per litre

Grand to drive but no sports car. As said above you'll get nowt of a decent size within 'em. Based on older Renault technology so relatively safe'n sound and did'nt find mine overly thirsty over the 1k odd miles I drove while over there.

Bring yer mp3 player & one of those cassette on a string type adaptors for it. The radio in mine had little to no tuneability, unless you enjoy being constantly called to prayer that is. blink.gif
