As noted above, people will get a wave somewhere, the get together is just that - a get together, not a mass surf.

I would recommend holding onto the idea of the usual camp spot as it is a walk to the pub also - in case of a drop of rain. We will all be driving, so if we have to go a little further for a wave that day or the next, it is not the end of the world.
