Was there bad fog anywhere else last night? I went back to Dumps and couldn't see more than 100 yards. Shame cos I reckon there was a few nice little waves out there. Just couldn't see them

Didn't see any fog, plenty of hazey type stuff though.
Thunderstorms were savage though... you should have got a few rumbles down your direction no?

Back when myself 'n Tsu were in France we went for a surf in real 'pea-soup' fog..... trippy as hell coz you couldn't see a frikkin thing 5 yards in front of you (and probably dangerous, but we were sure there was no-one else out coz it was literally le crack of dawn).
Very surreal though.... Didn't know where we were when we came in as we had drifted down the beach a good bit.

myself and mpb surfed in a real thick fog once. Still as anything couldnt see the waves until they were about 6 ft away and obviously you couldnt see the beach. really weird watching him catch a wave and disappear and finding the lineup again was real interesting

Surfed in thick fog/mist at a sligo beach one morning at dawn, alone, very eery feeling just seeing the black lines poping up out of know where and not knowing how far out you were, then a seal poped up about 2 meters away from me and I screamed at the top of my lungs dont know which of us got the bigger fright

Yeah that was real thick fog that time. And then when driving away as you get a bit higher there was no fog, it was like a solid wall, no inbetween, just no fog and fog. Very surreal.

No fog last night, just crap waves.

Freakiest surf in Fog I ever had was in a little cove near "Wes"Country! We were sitting at the mouth of the little cove staring into dense fog and all of a sudden out of nowhere a solid 2-3ft set would crank in! The water was sooooooo smooth and calm that when I caught a wave it was like surfing on a mirror! Happy memories. I would kill to remember the name of the Cove. Hang on its cummin now.......no forget it!
