Male. 36. Three kids, 2 boys one Girl, soon to be regulars at a beach near you. Conor-7, Dylan-6(born prematurely in Waterford on way back from Bunmahon surf/music/party weekend!) And Kate-nearly 4!
Started surfing in Brighton 1991. Working in London on sites and guy from Cork lived in same house had 2 boards and 2 suits. I bought a pop out and suit before I left and brought it back on the plane...weird looks from everyone!
Surfed Lahinch every year till I could stand up straight. Very lucky to have surfed a bit abroad: SA-twice, Bali, Lombok, Gili Islands, Barbados, Sri Lanka, Biarritz and all over Cornwall. Never been to States or OZ or Hawaii! Some day though.
Favourite places to surf- Sligo/ Donegal and Clare. If Kerry were closer it would be my top..but the drive is a killer. Started Mananan 10 years ago this month in Bundoran at the 98 Euro Surf. Had fun and learnt a lot since then. Realised I was doing more organising and work than surfing. It also helps if you are making some money- which we werent. So now I work with my Brothers in a Tyre Importation Company and we supply the trade with Industrial Tyres and other stuff. I surf a Mananan- Roger Tout Very Traditional single fin 9'6'' covered in Deckgripp! There are a few of the mananan boards around still...holding their value I see. Oh I am selling a domain name I set up a few years ago if anyone is interested, for a new or existing surf company. www.doubleoverhead.com.

male, 24. started surfing a few years back and soaked as much info as i could out of the members here!!! unsuprisingly got into longboarding soon after.. Even got sorted out with a beautiful chapter longboard thanks to vega cheers buddy!! Its still going strong....
Just back from a couple of years travelling/surfing/diving.... most recently teaching diving in sipidan, Borneo... Incredible place!!!!!!! Diving was just insane
Despite the cold water it's been pretty sweet surfing again with my bro and mates..

Thanks Vega...It was great fun...but too much time spent out of the water! Had to get my priorities right! Surfed more this year than the last two put together. Great to see this site doing so well....why are there not more photos uploaded from the members?? I know that answer to that......."too busy surfing to take photos!"
Anyway...those TShirts will be collectors items in a few years time..hopefully!

Male 22 and a bit (30)

Saw the light on a stag weekend in Newquay less than a year ago. Been catamaran sailing since year dot but have now blown it out for the true waterman path. Live in North Down but try to take the train to the north coast once or twice a week (tortuous 6 hour round trip) really must pass my driving test. Married with kid on the way. so far surfed Fistral, Portrush town beaches , Castlerock and Portballintrea. Have surfed Ballyholme during a 3 day NE swell push and have discovered an East coast standing wave (tidal anomoly) and no i aint giving it away online. I make the best Margarita's outside
