Will be there next Thursday and Friday - anyone been there? Any info other then whats on the web

spent a lot of summer weeks there .
There's a few spots there but most of it is really crowded beach breaks, although you should be alright at this time of the year. Le phare des Baleines or La Couarde are your best bet for a surf there ... but most of the west coast of the island is grand anyway.

I'd honestly advise you to give the surf a miss and just visit the place. it's really gorgeous.

Dont think Enygma and High Pockets are goin for the scenery! If theres gonna be clean surf we'll be out, the ladies in tow can sight see for us Thanks for the tips!

Was there once but was flat all along the island. The bridge to the mainland is quite pricey so once you head over make sure you have all you need you don't want to be crossing over and back loads of times. Nice place though all the same.

just for info, we got Le phare des Baleines on both days - Le Lizet was working on Friday morning, but there were 5 on it, including a standup paddle boarder, so we went back to Le phare des Baleines, which we had to ourselves - offshore in a SW wind - thank the lord!
