Not necceseraly, to buy a board from a US company and get it shipped to your door is more or less the the same price to buy from an Irish supplier, its always more expensive to buy from the UK.
It will always be cheaper from the US if you can avoid VAT/duty/airport handling charges in Ireland, but if you cant then its the same price to order from the likes of Paudie or Glide as it is to order direct from Anderson or Bing or from a retailer like Icons.
A 9'6" Bing gold standard would cost me €1527 before packaging to bring in from the UK, I can buy the same board from Paudie for €1300 (dont quote me

) or order it from Icons for €1300
