hello again all longboard ireland lads, tis me stace, the singing wan from Dublin. Im popping in for two things, to say hello and to ask for surf board advice again. Is Paidie still here? Vegaluca I remember you from my last encounters on here, hi! some of you very kindly gave me some advice last year and I could'nt raise the funds to get me a new board. Now Im back and ready to go. I have been surfing a mini mal for 4 years now and need something a little lighter, faster and fancier. I was hoping to get some kind of fish, and if anyone had any advice they could give me I would be delighted and extremely grateful.
over and out for now
cheers
stace

Welcome back Stacie. Paudie is around somewhere.

The best bet is try out a few boards if you can. Depending on how the forecast looks the LBI weekend is on in brandon Bay next weekend. There will be loads of stuff to try out down there.

It's hard to give advice without knowing them but if you have been riding something about 7'2 or so you could go down to 6'6" or so in one transition if there is some volume and width kept in the board.

You might consider a 6'6" Quad (eg. Powersource retro fish 4 fin) or a bear wombat in that size.

Or talk to Glide and he will make you what you need.

PS just had a look on Powersource website, this looks like it would suit

Hybrid Stinger Fish, 4Fin, single concave, 6'8" x 20 1/8" x 2 1/2" € 530.00

Pop down to Kerry this weekend for the longboardireland get together and meet the man face to face! Would be a good time to meet a few heads, but also to try a few boards as I am sure there will be a good selection
