thats true, I got in at 5.30, within minutes there was 10 people sitting out there. Last night I counted 41 people blink.gif in the water as I was getting out!

What I wouldn't give to be in the water right now instead of sitting in this pit of despair they call an office surrounded by robot bean-counters. Roll on 5.30.

Nice surf lasnight. Plenty of action. In the water at 6.30 this morning. Warm off shore breeze and small glassy pealers. Life is good.

was in at 06:00 tongue.gif

any advance on 5.02 tongue.gif . wasn't the first in either. four others in within 15mins.

good waves but the crowd was stoopid - about 15/20 guys in by 6.30. i recognised guys from from bundoran, cork, and waterford - in fact there was even a dublin based lad. blink.gif might have to go a bit more ph34r.gif for the afternoon session.

That was my 2nd session of the day, and after breakfast laugh.gif

I blame that sleeping bag I got in Aldi for the sleep-in!! Its too fecking comfy.

What sort of size was there this morning?

Only thing keeping me sane is the knowledge that I am heading for Portugal at the weekend! Still undecided re which board to bring, I hate the idea that the one I want to bring (my 9'2" perf) could get damaged in travel.

then again, would hate to be over there an get no waves!

aongo- 05-13-2008
you surf a blue mctavish bhflaherty, don't ya?
i saw your last wave this morning (a nice one...) as i was paddling out (blue & white psource)... i was a little lazy with 7.30am - sure some of ye had a surf, breakfast and a day's work over ye by then!

was going to say hello (honest!) but that was your last wave!

missed yesterday evenings perfection as i promised she who must be obeyed that i'd do a 2 hour pilates class... ffs biggrin.gif

better go reclaim my masculinity this evening, after desperate housewives of course! laugh.gif

5 people in the water and a good buzz going then in for a small bite to eat and hit it again but the buzz was definately gone second time around as 1 or 2 of the aggro locals were in the water...yipee. dry.gif

Thats me alright. Seen you getting in! Had to go to feckin work! The girlfriend was pissed off with me as she was all on for calling a sicky! It looked like the tide had started pushing when I was leaving. Seemed to be getting better or was that just cause I was going? Same thing happened lastnight though on the push.

Some guy really walking the nose of the board nicely this morning. Not a very friendly guy but sure when your that good there is no need to talk to a kook like me!! Pity that.

Great fun lastnight. Some really nice waves coming through. Very busy so I just headed off up the beach after a while were it was nice and hollow. Strandhill is more like a reef at the moment with all the sand gone from the winter but it still has a lovely shaped wave. It will be great when the banks are back properly again.

Missed Desperate Housewives myself the last few weeks. Can't feckin wait to see it this evening. I'm all man, no doubt about it!!! tongue.gif

Sorry to hear that h.bru sad.gif

Got some 2' onshore slop yesterday evening to keep the wolf from the door for the moment, quickly followed by an hour watchin' Carty style it on some concrete waves.

Pics out for the lads Carty boi...c'mon I did give you 38 of em, one of em is surely worthy! cool.gif laugh.gif

Matt Calvani (Head shaper & designer with BING) & Margaret Yao (JACOBS Teamrider) are flying in to the UK Friday where they had hoped to get some surf in there and then pop across to us here and ride uncrowded waves (like I've been promising) and sample some quality porter... the porter better be good. They fly home Monday the 26th.
