T'was merely in jest lad. Sure I don't have a balls notion what I'm at yet, although I did read that .pdf you posted up a link to a while back so am keen to get going.
First thing I need to do is to get a decent electricity supply run from my house out to the shed, then I can start butchering blanks goodo!

my first 2 shaping sheds were run of a 4 way 50 metre cable! works fine theres your power sorted now get shaping!!

Was using both my dads makita and flex sanders for a while but coz they were for stone they were too fast so i got myselt a random orbit sander from tesco for €6 . Really happy with it use it for dings and stuff mostly but sanded two hot coats with it and its still going ok, although there is a smell of clutch of it if you push it too hard

tesco do sanders?? that smell is probably from all the bits inside drying up! resin dust aint good
get yourself a reostat (de speeder) and you can use your dads grinders again
