Iv tested the forum on IE7 and Mozilla Firefox (both fully updated) and AVG Free edition anti virus as my only protection and im getting no adverts/popups. People who have machines that are having popups have spyware and adware installed on there PC's, they should consider a reinstall of there operating system with latest security patches. However changing the forum is unnecessary and wont solve the problem, that said phpbb2 (there maybe even a phpbb3 by now) would be much better (look nicer) and a much more smoother system free of the advert panel at the top or google adverts when your not logged in and give you guys alot more control with tonnes of cool addons available for free.

To solve your problem for the moment you would be advised to download a adware/spyware remover such as spybot search and destroy or windows defender, run these in safe mode, also use a trusted anti virus such as AVG, Ewido, Panda, Nod or Norton and also perform a scan with one of these in safe mode!
