Well was anyone up at it? How'd it go?

Fantastic festival. Everything was run brillant, went to doughmore every day from wednesday onwards and it did get very crowded however spanish beach was flat so they cancelled it on that reasoning but i wonder was that side of the event like pre mentioned a pie in the sky notion.

Next year i think it will be great for them to run a competition alongside the event but maybe make it open to beginners and surfers alike and maybe section up the beach for it. Would be brillant craic.

Everyone at the concert tuat the buzz at the camp sites was the best. Everyone was in great sorts and the atmosphere was excellent. Personally i didnt like alot of the bands in the line up but thats more my opionon as alot of people really enjoyed the music.

Spoke to some locals who were delighted with the crowd and said they had no problem with the event and enjoyed the buzz around there town for it. which is great as it looks like they will be happy to have us all again.

It was great each morning to see everyone out cleaning the campsite by there own inititive and i was at the main site up on the cliffs and it was spotless when i left today. Everyone piled rubbish into bags and put them asside to be collected, in my opionion it would have made sense to have left some festival security and portaloos and water taps up at the sites too.

On the saturday night there were some bad element from limerick arrived and cuased agro at the campsite by ripping up all the benches and tables to burn them and left a right mess after themselves however they stayed away from everyone else and myself and friends were camped right beside them so cleaned up there mess, unfortanately everyone of the fuckers must have never heard of a toilet before. I wont go into detail but you can guess what i mean.

I think cois was great craic, cant wait to go again for the buzz, it really should be moved around the country though, and hoefully next time at a big beach tow with facilities. Maybe Bundoran or Tramore would be good choices for next year.
