Just got this update from the brother.

"Arica was great and we got to hang out with Adam for the weekend so he paid for absolutely everything including the cleaning of my wetsuit after it nearly shat in it out at El Buey http://www.wannasurf.com/spot/South_Americ...buey/index.html it was breaking about the height of the first photo when we were out there and of course we were the only people out there so it was pretty scary, the barrel spat like a giant cat and sounded like a nuclear bomb going off, I coped one on the head and decided to head in as we didnīt have a clue where to sit or what. The place we were staying in was the Arica Surf House and owner is a big wave surfer but was up in Peru at the time chasing waves, bit of a disappointment but at least we paddled out there in our freaking 6ī6īs instead of a 7ī4 which would have been better. We caught one on the inside reform which was like a 5 ft wave at a normal break. Pretty freaky place. Didnīt surf Gringo as it wasnīt doing its thing, was surfable if you had an Aluminium hull on your surfboard, 3 ft, paddle out was easy but the take off was more than vert and not worth getting extra piercings from the Urchins, one of the guys a pro bodyboarder Ben Mackinnon (New Zealand Champion) was surfing it and hit the rocks sooooo many times and was real pissed with it. We surfed La Isla around the corner and was a nice wave, take off nearly on the rocks peeling left, lots of groms. Surfed up the beach too on one of the longest lefts I have surfed ever again with only Adam and a few out with us taking whatever waves we wanted."
